The Artea Room is taking a little break while we give our Potterspury tearoom an Autumn refresh! We’re decorating, bringing in some new furniture, making kitchen upgrades and getting everything ready for the season ahead. We’ll be back, refreshed and ready to welcome you, on Tuesday 15 September.

The Artea Room in Potterspury is closing from 6 to 14 September for an Autumn refresh, reopening Tuesday 15 September with a new Autumn/Winter menu.

What a day!

We’re writing this back at home after another wonderfully busy Saturday at The Artea Room in Potterspury – and today really summed up what we love about running our little independent tearoom.

We were packed with a mixture of regular customers and lots of new faces, with several tables joining us for birthday celebrations.

Among them were two particularly impressive milestones – an 80th birthday and an 89th birthday!

Now the weather has cooled down a little, there’s something we’ve been very excited to bring back at The Artea Room in Potterspury – a cake counter properly filled with some of our favourite cakes!

We had a fantastic start to the weekend at The Artea Room in Potterspury when we welcomed a group of MX-5 owners for breakfast before they headed off for a day out together.

There were plenty of lovely cars arriving at Wakefield Country Courtyard – and plenty of hungry drivers too!

The Cameo Club from Deanshanger praised us, after a group lunch for 27 guests, highlighting amazing service and perfectly timed meals.

At The Artea Room, we believe the best recommendation comes from our guests.

Over the past few weeks, we've been incredibly grateful to receive another fantastic collection of five-star reviews from people who have visited us for afternoon tea, breakfast, lunch, weddings, birthdays and family celebrations.

Our tearoom has been transformed with Hawaiian garlands, tropical decorations, colourful parrots and plenty of sunshine-inspired touches. Even the team have swapped their usual uniforms for Hawaiian shirts to get into the spirit!

We were delighted to welcome Angela and Adi, along with their family and friends, to The Artea Room for their wedding reception.

The happy couple celebrated their special day with one of our relaxed afternoon tea experiences, enjoying plenty of homemade food, sweet treats and time together with the people closest to them. It was a wonderful afternoon and a real privilege to be part of such an important occasion.

Weekends at The Artea Room are always something special, and we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited us today.

There are some days when The Artea Room is absolutely buzzing, and this was certainly one of them!

We were delighted to welcome more than 100 guests through our doors, with the tearoom full of conversation, laughter and celebrations from the moment we opened until the last table left.

Just a few miles from Silverstone, we're the ideal place to take a break from the crowds and refuel with great food and drink.

As temperatures continued to rise during the recent heatwave, we made a few changes at The Artea Room to keep both our customers and team as comfortable as possible.

To complement the warmer weather, we also introduced a selection of lighter summer dishes to the menu, including our new Tuna & Egg Salad and Coronation Chicken Salad, alongside our ever-popular Chicken Caesar Salad.

Last Sunday, we joined people across the country in celebrating National Cream Tea Day, and what a lovely day it was!

There's something wonderfully British about sitting down with a warm, freshly baked scone, a generous helping of clotted cream (or whipped vanilla coconut cream), plenty of strawberry jam and, of course, a proper pot of tea. Judging by the smiles around the tearoom, we weren't the only ones who thought so.

The sunshine was out, the tea was flowing and The Artea Room was buzzing from start to finish on Friday.

We welcomed customers from across Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes who joined us for breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, homemade cakes and refreshing drinks throughout the day.

National Scone Day takes place on Saturday 30 May, but at The Artea Room we don’t think you should have to wait that long for a freshly baked scone ☕💜
