A first look at our new Autumn/Winter menu
While The Artea Room is closed for our Autumn refresh, we've been giving you a few glimpses of what's happening to the tearoom itself. But there's another rather important part of the refresh happening too – our new Autumn/Winter menu is nearly ready!
We've been having a little play in the kitchen and thought it was time to give you a proper sneak peek at two of the dishes waiting for you when we reopen in Potterspury.
Meet our new Artea Ploughman's
The Ploughman's isn't completely new to The Artea Room, but we've given it an Artea refresh for our new menu.
Our new Artea Ploughman's brings together ham, mature Cheddar and Brie with pork pie, coleslaw, salad, pickles and chutney, served with bread and butter.
It's a proper lunch with plenty of variety on the plate and one we're very happy to be keeping on the menu in its new form.
Can't decide between a sandwich and a scone?
We may have solved that particular problem.
Our new Artea Sweet & Savoury is a lighter lunch for those times when you fancy something savoury but wouldn't mind a little treat afterwards too.
Choose your sandwich filling and we'll serve it with salad and coleslaw, followed by one of our scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve.
It's essentially a little bit of lunch and a little bit of afternoon tea on the same plate – which seems like a very sensible arrangement to us!
A new season and a refreshed menu
These are just two of the changes coming to our Autumn/Winter menu.
We've been looking carefully at what our customers enjoy, simplifying some parts of the menu and introducing some new choices for breakfast and lunch, while keeping plenty of Artea favourites.
And, of course, afternoon tea at The Artea Room isn't going anywhere.
We'll reveal the full Autumn/Winter menu very soon.
Lunch at The Artea Room in Potterspury
The Artea Room is an independent tea room at Wakefield Country Courtyard in Potterspury, Northamptonshire, conveniently located between Towcester and Milton Keynes.
Whether you're joining us for a catch-up over lunch, meeting friends, celebrating something special or simply stopping for tea and cake, we're looking forward to welcoming everyone back and showing you what we've been working on.
The Artea Room reopens on Tuesday 15 September 2026.
