The Artea Room is closed for our Autumn refresh

The Artea Room at Wakefield Country Courtyard in Potterspury is now temporarily closed for one week while we carry out our Autumn refresh. We'll reopen on Tuesday 15 September 2026.

What a lovely week we had to finish on!

We've welcomed birthdays, catch-ups, lots of lovely lunches and even a gorgeous baby shower. Now the last customers have left, the doors are closed and our poor little tearoom looks rather different!

We've stripped almost everything out and the Artea Autumn refresh has officially begun.

A little refresh behind the scenes

There's plenty happening at The Artea Room while we're closed.

We're doing some decorating, bringing in new furniture, making upgrades in the kitchen and tackling plenty of those little jobs that are much easier to do when there aren't customers trying to enjoy a cup of tea around us!

We're leaving the professionals to tackle some of the bigger jobs – probably for the best – before we head back in to add all the finishing touches and get everything ready for reopening.

It's not about changing what The Artea Room is. We love our independent little tea room in Potterspury. It's simply time to give it some attention and get everything looking and feeling fresh for the months ahead.

There's more coming this Autumn

We've also been busy behind the scenes with some other changes.

Our new Autumn/Winter menu is nearly ready, with some new dishes that we're really excited to share. We've been having a little play in the kitchen already, and we'll be giving you a first proper look at a couple of the new additions very soon.

And because we clearly didn't have enough tea already, there are some new teas on their way too!

We'll share more about both during our week away.

When does The Artea Room reopen?

We reopen on Tuesday 15 September 2026.

Until then, The Artea Room at Wakefield Country Courtyard in Potterspury is closed while the refresh work takes place.

A huge thank you to our fabulous team for all their hard work, particularly during such a busy final week, and to everyone who continues to visit and support our tearoom. We really do appreciate it.

Now we're leaving the professionals to it!

We'll be back in afterwards to add all the fancy little touches and get everything ready to welcome you back.
