We’ve just wrapped up a lovely first day back at The Artea Room, and despite the very cold start to the day, it was great to welcome customers back through the door. There’s something special about reopening after a short break — the familiar routine, the buzz of the kitchen, and friendly faces settling in out of the cold with a hot drink.

The Artea Room has opened its doors for 2026 and welcomed its first customers of the year. Visit our independent tearoom in Potterspury for coffee, cake, lunches and afternoon tea in a warm, friendly setting. We're just a few miles from Towcester, just off the A5.

We’re sharing our Christmas opening hours so you can plan your visit to The Artea Room over the festive period. Our remaining opening times before Christmas are:

• Monday 22 December: closed

• Tuesday 23 December: 10am to 4pm

• Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24 December): 10am to 4pm

We’ll then re-open Saturday 3 December 2026.

What a truly special day we’ve had at The Artea Room.

We kicked things off with a magical Breakfast with Santa, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to The Rotary Club of Towcester for providing such a brilliant Santa and elf. They were fantastic, and it was wonderful to see just how much the children enjoyed meeting them.

Thanks to the wonderful team who played their part in our 1st anniversary celebrations.

Customers were entertained by Jazz the 2 Of Us, whilst enjoying lunch and drinks followed by complimentary deserts.

The Artea Room has launched its new Bauble Baguette festive special: a warm baguette with turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce, served with chips, salad and coleslaw. Available from 2 December.

Things got spooktacular at The Artea Room yesterday as our team got into the Halloween spirit — quite literally! 👻

Alan the Mad Butcher, Charlie the Creepy Server, Chrissy the Ghostly Gourmet, and Joanne the Sinister Server all joined forces for a frightfully fun day of fancy dress, spooky décor, and plenty of laughter.

Despite the blustery weather brought by Storm Benjamin, The Artea Room was full of warmth, smiles, and the comforting aroma of freshly baked cakes today.

Our team were ready to welcome customers from the moment the doors opened, serving up delicious Afternoon Teas, homemade cakes, and hearty lunches — the perfect way to stay cosy on a stormy day.

We had an amazing weekend at The Artea Room with nearly 200 guests celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and brunches. Thanks to everyone who joined us! Our tearoom is now sparkling clean and restocked, ready to reopen Tuesday at 11am. Come and enjoy delicious food, great company, and a warm welcome.

It’s hard to believe how much has happened in such a short space of time. Over the past six months, The Artea Room has gone through quite a transformation — from our early days to becoming a much-loved local tearoom. We’ve welcomed so many of you through our doors, and it’s been wonderful to see The Artea Room become a cosy spot for friends, families, and visitors to relax and enjoy.
