We’ve officially opened our doors for the first time in 2026 and were delighted to welcome our first customers of the year into The Artea Room this morning.

There’s something really special about that first day back — the coffee machine humming, fresh bakes in the kitchen and friendly faces through the door — and today reminded us exactly why we love what we do.

After a busy and memorable end to 2025, it’s been lovely to return refreshed and ready for the year ahead. Whether you joined us today, popped your head in to say hello, or are planning a visit soon, we’d like to say a huge thank you for your continued support. Independent cafés like ours thrive because of the community around them, and we never take that for granted.

As we move into 2026, our focus remains the same: warm welcomes, generous portions, and food that’s prepared with care in a relaxed and friendly setting. From freshly brewed coffee and homemade cakes to hearty lunches and our much-loved afternoon teas, we’re looking forward to sharing plenty of good food and good moments with you over the coming months.

If you’re new to The Artea Room, we’re an independent tearoom based in Potterspury, a few miles from both Towcester and Stony Stratford, offering a cosy place to meet friends, catch up with family or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a cup of tea. Our menu is designed to be comforting and familiar, with a few special touches that make a visit feel like a treat. We’re proud of the lovely feedback we receive and always aim to make every visit a positive one.

For our regulars, it’s great to be back and to see familiar faces returning through the door. Many of you have followed our journey closely, and your kind words, recommendations and reviews make a real difference to a small business like ours. If 2025 was anything to go by, 2026 has plenty of chats, laughter and full tables ahead.
