Keeping cool during the summer at The Artea Room in Potterspury
As temperatures continued to rise during the recent heatwave, we made a few changes at The Artea Room to keep both our customers and team as comfortable as possible.
Our new fans were put straight to work throughout the tearoom, helping to create a cooler and more relaxing environment while guests enjoyed breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, homemade cakes and refreshing drinks.
To complement the warmer weather, we also introduced a selection of lighter summer dishes to the menu, including our new Tuna & Egg Salad and Coronation Chicken Salad, alongside our ever-popular Chicken Caesar Salad.
To help manage the kitchen temperature during the hottest part of the day, we temporarily paused our all-day breakfast menu. By switching off the griddles after the breakfast service, the kitchen team were able to work in a much safer and more comfortable environment while continuing to prepare the rest of our menu.
Customers continued to enjoy everything else The Artea Room is known for, including freshly prepared lunches, homemade cakes, traditional afternoon teas, speciality coffees and, of course, plenty of tea.
The warm weather brought plenty of visitors through our doors, with many choosing to catch up with friends and family over lunch or enjoy a relaxing afternoon with tea and cake.
As an independent, award-winning tearoom in Potterspury, we're always looking for ways to make every visit as enjoyable as possible, whatever the weather.
Thank you to everyone who visited us during the hot spell. We hope you enjoyed your time with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
