Celebrating VE Day in Style at The Artea Room π¬π§
Today at The Artea Room, we marked VE Day with a touch of nostalgia and a heartfelt tribute to the past. Our wonderful team embraced the spirit of the 1940s by dressing up as Land Girls β the courageous women who kept Britain going during the war effort. With vintage curls, red lipstick, and traditional wartime aprons, our ladies looked every bit the part!
Customers were welcomed with smiles and scenes that echoed wartime camaraderie. From the bunting to the ration books, every detail helped bring history to life and spark warm memories and conversations over tea and cake.
The cafΓ© was buzzing with the energy of remembrance and community spirit. Tables were decorated with Union Jack flags, and we even had replica ration books on hand to complete the theme. It was a fitting way to honour those who served and sacrificed, and to celebrate the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited us and shared stories or simply soaked in the atmosphere. Whether you joined us for a pot of tea or a slice of something sweet, your presence made the day even more special.
Weβre proud to keep community and history at the heart of what we do β and we canβt wait to welcome you back soon.
