Carrot Cake Week at The Artea Room 🍰🥕

We might be a little late to the party today, but we simply couldn’t let Carrot Cake Day pass without celebrating one of our most loved cakes here at The Artea Room. In fact, we’ve decided that one day just isn’t enough — so we’re celebrating all week instead!

Carrot cake isn’t always on our counter, as we like to keep our cake selection changing to give customers plenty of choice each time they visit. However, this week we’re making carrot cake the star of the show, giving everyone the chance to enjoy a slice while it’s available.

To make the celebration even better, we’re offering three options throughout the week: our traditional carrot cake, a gluten-free version, and a vegan version too. That means more of our customers can enjoy a slice without missing out, whether you have dietary requirements or simply fancy trying something different.

Perfectly spiced, deliciously moist and topped with smooth frosting, carrot cake is one of those comforting classics that always seems to hit the spot, whether you’re visiting for breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake, or a relaxed catch-up with friends.

A slice pairs beautifully with a pot of tea, a freshly brewed coffee, or even a creamy hot chocolate if you’re in the mood for something indulgent. It’s also a popular addition when customers book afternoon tea, adding a familiar favourite alongside our homemade treats and freshly prepared sandwiches.

Joanne, owner of The Artea Room, says the team enjoys marking food days like this, especially when they spotlight cakes customers regularly ask about.

“Carrot cake is one of those bakes people often ask if we have on the counter. Because we rotate our cakes, it isn’t always available, so celebrating it for a whole week gives everyone a chance to enjoy it. Offering gluten-free and vegan options means even more people can join in, and it’s always lovely seeing someone discover a new favourite.”

The café has been wonderfully busy recently, with many weekends fully booked and customers travelling from across the area to enjoy the relaxed countryside setting, homemade food and welcoming atmosphere. Moments like Carrot Cake Week give us another reason to showcase what we love doing most — serving good food in a space where people can slow down and enjoy time together.
